The Skiddle alternative with no booking fees for your guests
Skiddle sells a lot of tickets for UK club nights, festivals and live music, and it does it by charging your guests rather than you. The booking fee is added on top of the price you set, at the checkout, after they have already decided to come.
Roomful takes the opposite approach: 0% commission from you, and nothing added to your guests' total. The price you advertise is the price they pay.

200 tickets at £15.00. Who takes what?
Platform fees on £3,000.00 of ticket sales — the bit you or your guests hand over before card processing.
Based on 200 tickets at £15.00 each. Card processing (Stripe) applies on every platform, including this one — typically 1.5% + 20p for UK cards, taken by Stripe, not by us. Roomful adds nothing on top. Ever. Skiddle's published fees checked 27 July 2026.

What Skiddle does well
- Skiddle has real audience reach in UK dance, festival and live music, and their own listings genuinely put events in front of new people.
- Their promoter tools are built for exactly the events they specialise in — ticket waves, guest lists, reps and door management.
- Because the guest carries the fee, the headline cost to a promoter looks like nothing, which suits people working on thin margins.
Why organisers move to Roomful
- The booking fee is still your problem even though your guest pays it: it inflates your advertised price at the final step, which is exactly where checkouts get abandoned.
- You are competing for attention on a listings page alongside every other event on the same night, including the ones you are competing with.
- The relationship, and the data, belongs to the platform rather than to you.

The questions everyone asks.
Who pays the fees on Roomful?
Nobody pays a platform fee. We take 0% commission from you and add no booking fee for your guests. The only cost on a sale is card processing, typically 1.5% + 20p for UK cards, taken by Stripe rather than by us.
Will I lose the audience Skiddle sends me?
Be honest with yourself about how much of your audience genuinely arrives through Skiddle's own discovery rather than through your own promotion. If it is a meaningful share, run both for one event and compare. Many organisers find the overwhelming majority of their sales came from links they shared themselves.
Do I get the money before the event?
Yes. Roomful uses direct charges into your own Stripe account, so ticket income arrives as tickets sell rather than after the event has happened.
Can I still run ticket waves and door lists?
Yes — multiple ticket types with their own prices and capacities, and a door check-in list on the night. Both are free.
